The weekend came and went. Monday came and went. Tuesday, please come and go just as quickly, Please! Tomorrow is the Yolo County Fair! Only one of my most favorite times of the year. Bring on the corn dogs + carnies + beer gardens + derby + rides + tacos.
I can’t even contain my excitement!!
We had the best weekend. Lake Tahoe is always a good idea. Even if it is only for 24 hours.
Friday we had a little too much Vince’s Mexican food. Come on, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Their pork burrito is my new go-to….so bomb. Bailey and I went for a walk afterwards. So much chips + salasa!
Walking lunges. And she did cartwheels. Love our walk + talks ♥
Saturday was spent rafting with my #dirtyyaya530 girls. Always, always a good time 🙂
We picked out our 6 man raft and hit the river. Not to mention we don’t pack light and the river seems like a 5 mile walk from American River Raft Rentals…lol. Must have been all our snacks + beers 🙂
But first – let’s take a selfie 🙂
I can’t wait to do this again. It’s been over 10 years since I’ve floated on the River, and I have to say – its beautiful + peaceful. Especially when you have a boat load of hot Yaya’s:)
Wildlife too….
I believe they said it’s about a 3-4 hour trip to the end point. Well, clearly we were racing all the others…we arrived only an hour early…haha. Probably the first time in my life I’ve been that early for anything. First one’s back – we won!!!
We had beer to finish anyway 🙂
#safetyfirst
We ended our Yaya adventure with tall cans at Swabbies. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way!!!

Thanks for planning such a fun day Kristine! Looking forward to our September Yaya play-day!!
Sunday morning we hit the road to Tahoe for a quick cabin/beach trip. We were dying for one last beach day before school starts.
We pulled up the cabin to find GG kickin it on the porch with her crossword puzzles and a bear horn. I seriously love this woman. And she seriously loves the cabin. The cabin my grandpa built, remember? I love listening to her reminisce about building 50-60 yeas ago. And how much Tahoe has changed since then.
In the 60 years she’s sent in this exact spot, she’s NEVER seen a bear. A couple of weekends back, I saw 2. Things have really changed on Dedi Ave. We were on the hunt for her to see a bear, and I’m sad to relay – it did not happen 🙁 Next year GG, next year!
We hit the beach while GG napped….
This is the same beach where the mama bear and her two cubs played in the water a couple of weeks ago. Can you tell – I’m obsessed with the bears…lol!
We played 31! More hands than I can count. Till it got dark and we have to move inside.
I swear she’s lucky as all hell when it comes to cards.
My little helpers in the kitchen. Bailey “got” to help make dinner so Ben insisted that he do the dishes. Deal + Deal!
I got lots of questions on my bikini tops. Guess what? They both came from Target! And they were both marked down. The pink bralette top was by far the most comfortable and my favorite. I was super worried about the funky tan lines though. The midi top was removable straps which are a huge plus for any other tanning girls, like myself.
Push Up Midi Bikini Top – Xhilaration
I bought the pink bralette top in store, but was unable to find it online. I’ve linked two others that are the same style.

ps…did anyone see that K&M Florist gives out a free stem if your name is on their chalkboard for the day? So fun!!!
Come back tomorrow for a yummy Kaia Friendly salad recipe that I’m sure you will LOVE!
