Anyone else with me? Maybe Monday just hadn’t hit me yet after the crazy weekend? Who knows, but is it 5 o’clock yet?
I hope everyone had a great weekend!!!
FRIDAY //
We toasted the Friday away with bomb.com G+T’s….maybe a few too many. Haha, but Jason know’s how to make a damn good one. We even taught him how to take a boomerang. Do you Boomerang? I’m kinda obsessed. Download the app here.
Thanks for a fun night ladies! We laughed our asses off, took crazy snaps, and toasted (a few times).
SATURDAY //
6 am comes fast on swim meet mornings. I was up bright and early to get the perfect spot for the pop-up. I love Woodland Wreckers energy. It’s always a morning well spent. A hot and sweaty morning, that is. It was hot AF. I really wanted to write F%#$, but one of my new goals is to watch my f bombs. That’s a whole other story we will have to touch on later.
That’s my girl in the first lane. I’m screaming KICK KICK KICK! GOOOOO Bay!
Saturday evening my Mom was honored. I was honored to be a part of it. My mom’s besties threw her a gorgeous retirement party. Can you believe that my Mom has worked at WJUSD since she was 16? Crazy, right? Well, as of Friday, July 1st – she is retired. WHOOP WHOOP! After 39 years with the Woodland Joint Unified School District – it’s a wrap. I’m so incredibly happy for her.
These are the wonderful women behind this great night. They worked their tails off and it really showed. Every little detail was something that made you think of Mom. From the flowers, to the decor. To the wine (duh) and the Grammy Slammers (signature drink). And we can’t forget the amazing slide show that featured photos we all gathered from her younger years to now. It was close to 1 hour-long. I could sit a reminisce about each one as to where we were, what we were doing, where we were going and explaining why we had a beer or wine in our hands in 1/2 of them…lol. The guests that all had something great to say.
Bailey + Ben + Joe singing “You are my Sunshine” It was the most adorable thing ever. The tears were flowing.
The speeches were all so touching. The kind words everyone had to say about my mom and her years of service made me smile. Her boss from 1982, Bob (formally known as Dr. Watt) recalls meeting me for the first time at a couple of weeks old. Co-workers + retires + friends spoke the kindest words.
This has to be my favorite picture from the night ♥
Then we danced the night away. I’m still blown away with everyone’s partying skills.
SUNDAY //
Our 7th Annual Bike Parade. Red + White + Blue.
10am we begin decorating
I love all the cute kiddos decked out in red + white + blue. Check out Kate with 30 star balloons….looks like she could lift off the ground..lol.
Lots and Lots of tinsel + ribbon + flags + crape paper + balloons.
11am we parade
The Bike Parade Babies 🙂
Daddy daycare right here. It was actually just the coolest spot in the shade.
All of these babes made their bike parade debut. Cant wait to see them walking next year 🙂
Don’t forget the snack stop!
A 6am donut run! We bought 6 dozen donuts and 8 dozen donut holes. The dudes at Donut Star thought we were crazy. Bailey told them she was really hungry.
I think Charley was on his 4th donut when I got this picture of him 🙂 I love Toni’s boys double fisting donuts + watermelon…a balanced meal!! Morgann’s Olaf helmet is the cutest. And Reid loving his watermelon on a stick.
Thanks to everyone that came to celebrate another festive parade with us. As always, we had such a great time and can’t wait to do it all over again next year!
The rest of the day was spent pool side with some of our favorites.
which resulted in this below…..early bedtime.
Have a great week peeps!
ps – this made me laugh…..
