Today I’m a fucking shark! I’ve been slacking with my health, fitness and pretty much everything else. Today is Monday and I’m ready to kick some ass. So watch out, I’m back in shark mode ready to show Monday who’s boss!!
The weekend was so nice. Did some shopping. Bath + Body Leaves candles were on sale for $9. Yeah! Lots of yardwork. Does anyone else find yardwork to be super rewarding? I like to pop open a beer and sit there and stare at it when I’m done. Like yeah, I did that. Haha. Tons of cooking + baking, as usual. Wine drinking, obvi! Movie + T.V. watching marathons. Sleeping in and kickin it in our PJ’s for longer than I’d like to admit. It was a good one.
Friday night was wine and catch-up sesh with my girl Nikki. She made the most beautiful + delicious charcuterie platter. And guess what, I didn’t take a damn picture. Unfortunately that’s how the rest of my weekend went too. No pictures. Like I said, I’ve been off the last couple of weeks….so not Stacy like.
Saturday morning football. Love watching Joe + his team play. And….they won. Their last game of the season was the best one!
Gooooooo #4!!!
I sipped red wine in a solo cup and watched Girl on a Train. I’ve been waiting very patiently for the movie to come out. I listened to the book on audio and got hooked. Such a good book.
Did you read it? If not, here’s what it’s about:
The Girl on the Train is the story of Rachel Watson’s life post-divorce. Every day, she takes the train in to work in New York, and every day the train passes by her old house. The house she lived in with her husband, who still lives there, with his new wife and child. As she attempts to not focus on her pain, she starts watching a couple who live a few houses down — Megan and Scott Hipwell. She creates a wonderful dream life for them in her head, about how they are a perfect happy family. And then one day, as the train passes, she sees something shocking, filling her with rage. The next day, she wakes up with a horrible hangover, various wounds and bruises, and no memory of the night before. She has only a feeling: something bad happened. Then come the TV reports: Megan Hipwell is missing. Rachel becomes invested in the case and trying to find out what happened to Megan, where she is, and what exactly she herself was up to that same night Megan went missing.
The movie was good! But, if you read the book, you’ll probably agree – the book was soooo much better. I can’t even believe I just wrote that. Whenever I hear peeps say that, I’m like, whatever you damn book reader…lol. I can officially say, it’s the truth. The book goes so much more in-depth. The detail about the characters made me feel like I knew them.
Had I have not read the book, I’m sure I would have loved the movie.
Bailey went to a sleepover this weekend, so I surprised her with a new sleeping bag. A sleepover sleeping bag. How cute, right? It rolls up into this little square bag. Comes with a pillow and fun prints. I scored maj Mom points. And it only cost $13. Whoop Whoop!
Check out the other prints. I ordered the pizza too, but she picked the stars. I was a little heart-broken. If it was just a tiny bit longer I would have kept it for myself 🙂

Sunday we had GG over for happy hour + dinner. I can’t wait to share this chicken pot pie recipe with you this week.
It was off the chain! Bomb.com! Sofa king good!
Bailey made chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches for dessert.
And the best part, we taught GG to boomerang cheers!! Epic!
I can’t think of a better way to end a weekend! Peeks + pits, good food, 4 generations siting at one table and obvi the cheers!!!
Be a shark and have a happy Monday!!!
