I hope you had a fabulous weekend enjoying your family traditions 🙂
I’m home all week….NO WORK! Can I get a whoop whoop?!?! I don’t have to set an alarm. Bailey is so excited and so am I. We plan to get pedi’s + shop + sleep-in + watch movies. I rarely have time off, so we plan to enjoy it to the fullest!!!
The Holiday weekend came and went….just like that. The hustle and bustle wasn’t too bad either. We were able to fully enjoy all our family, even while doing a little Holiday traveling.
Christmas Eve was spent with the Timothy’s. Uncle Sal + Aunt Penny hosted the whole family, which is a large crowd. Dinner + Drinks + Family + White Elephant…..and SANTA!!
GG even sat on Santa’s lap this year!!
Her smile makes me smile 🙂
And the kids got a turn too……
Our Annual GG + Great Grandkids photo.
(this isn’t even all of them)
Cory + I with our white elephant winnings. Do you see the gigantic glass I’m holding? This bad boy fit’s an entire bottle of wine and says “finally a wine glass that fits my needs” haha….so bad ass. Cory’s holding a cream liquor. Take a good look at it. Bailey opened the gift for him and we died. We also got awesome gift cards too 🙂 Nordstrom here I come.
Waiting patiently for Santa to arrive……
Bailey scored BIG this year.
Christmas morning we celebrated at my parents house. My Mom makes her Christmas Morning breakfast. We only get it twice a year, Christmas and Easter. And on Easter we call it Christmas breakfast too. It’s kind of a big deal!!
The kids each got Pie Face. And played over and over. It’s hilarious.
If your kids didn’t score this game for Christmas, you gotta buy it for them. You can find it at Amazon. Last I heard – Target + Walmart are sold out.
We opened gifts with Cory’s family and the kids played with the Thomas the Train roller coaster. I think Bailey wishes she would have asked for one too 🙂
Christmas night we spent with the Truitt’s + Parcell’s. Completely unplanned. But, turned out to be such a great time.
I wish you could see the size of this bottle. I think it was equivalent to 4 regular sized wine bottles. Amazing.
Sarah’s Dad, Roy, barbequed hands down the best prime rib we’ve ever had. With a side of makers mark!!
Check out Sarah’s table setting. Gorgeous!! And the vintage gold flatware. I die.
And guess what we did after dinner? We played more pie face. Thank you Truitt’s + Parcell’s for letting us crash your Christmas. We’ve decided we will be back next year too!! 🙂
Sunday morning we headed to Ukiah to spend some time with Cory’s family. I realized that I didn’t take many pictures of Christmas this year. I was too busy eating + drinking, I guess.
Want to know the worst part of being an early riser? When your staying in a hotel and wake up at 5:30 am. I sat on the side of the bathtub and drank coffee and caught up on instagram. It was so shitty. lol. Cory and Bailey didn’t budge till 8am.
Today, is Sunday and I type this post. I have successfully de-Christmased my whole house. Our tree was dead. Like, a fire hazard dry. It had to go.
The house looks so boring. But, there’s something refreshing about it. Packing everything up for next year and de-cluttering to start fresh for the new year.
Remember, I decorate for Christmas early November too. It was time.
Cory made us ribs and we lounged the rest of the day….it was a nice weekend.
Before I go…..
I’m mildly obsessed with all the 2015 Christmas cards….I love looking at all your pretty faces. Thank you everyone for the Christmas cards.
Although all my Christmas décor is bundled up and stored for 2016…..chances are, this will stay up far too long too 🙂
I ended up using old box springs. I have to admit….I convinced my co-workers to dumpster dive for them. These box springs came out of trucks…lol. They ended up working perfectly.
I may re-purpose them again for my summer garden as a trellis.
Can you believe New Year’s Eve is this week? So crazy that 2015 is over. It flew by with a blink of an eye. I cant wait to see what’s in store for 2016.
See you tomorrow!!!
