{the linen headboard}

Who knew how hard it would be to pick out a linen headboard?  Well, it’s a pain in the ass.  The internet just doesn’t do the colors and textures any justice.  I ordered 3.  Kept 2 for 2 weeks.  Finally made up my mind.  Haha.  Did I mention that I suck at decisions?  Mainly when it’s something I plan to keep for a long time or costs over $100.  This one got the best of my decision making.  We set them both up twice.  Then took them both down twice.  Cory was so over it.

Here’s what we ended up with –

Better Homes and Gardens for Walmart.  Who’d of thought?  I know your thinking “who in the hell buys furniture at Wally World!!”  ME!  Sometimes you gotta take a chance.  I contemplated ordering from Pottery Barn and dumping more than 8x this price tag.  The I stumbled upon Walmart’s headboard selection.  I’m so happy I did.  I couldn’t be more satisfied with my purchase.  That is, once I found the right color (this was the 3rd headboard purchase) 992 reviews with 4.6 out of 5 stars.  I’d say that’s a damn good product.  I’m obsessed with the antique metal nailhead detail.  The linen is soft.  Set up was a breeze.  Free delivery to the store closest to my home.  I think I should be a headboard salesperson after all this 🙂

World Market Velvet Throw Pillows are super soft and the price tag is on point.  They come in pretty much every color.  Check out all the options here.

My lumbar pillow is sold out, but you can find other cute options here

Antique metal nailhead (told you they are prettttty)

Earlier this year, I purchased all white bedding.  You really should do it.  It feels so adult.  I love how crisp and clean it looks.  It hangs exactly where it should….not too short, not too long.   The purposeful wrinkle texture makes it look effortless.  Not too frilly and with just enough simple detail.

Here is the Better Homes and Gardens Grayson Linen Headboard in Gray.  This is the color I was going for.  My first purchase.

And this is how it looked in my room.  NO BUENO!  I hated it.  Unfortunately when I went to return it and order the Grayson Headboard in the oatmeal color, it was sold out.  So, I ended up with this one below.   It was much better, but still too dark.  I’ve been dreaming of a gray linen headboard for months and months.  And I ended up with the tan color.  I have to say, all three of these headboards had impressive quality for the price.  I’m happy we stuck with the oatmeal color.
