Workout gear // probably the one type of clothing that I wear daily but spend the least on. I do love a good pair of Nike’s. Other than that, I typically hit up Target and Marshall’s for my gym clothing needs. I’m ready to invest a little more into some good staples. What are some of your favorites? Help a sister out!
Here’s what’s on my wish list:

S’well water bottle – in white croc print, yes please. Fabricated to keep drinks cold for up to 24 hours and hot drinks hot for up to 12. This would be great for summer cocktails. See – multiple uses ladies.
Fitbit Charge with heart rate tracker – I’m a fitbit fanatic. I religiously wear my flex. My goal is to hit 10k by the time I get to work….on cardio days. I do the happy dance when it vibrates (step goal). The new and improved model tracks heart rate too. Much bigger, but packs many more bells and whistles too.
Balega Socks – one of my girlfriends turned me onto this socks a few years ago. They are well worth the $12 price tag. Breathable mesh top with a cushiony sole. The heal tab is a great feature too – helps prevent slipping. I actually get mine at Fleet Feet Davis. You can never have too many. I rock them to the gym, hikes…you name it. Get yourself some!!
North Face – Cory bought me a similar style last Christmas and I have lived in it since. Like I didn’t want to wash it, because that meant I had to take it off…lol. I really like the flattering fit…not boxy like others. Lightweight yet warm.
iPhone armband – to prevent my poor screen from shattering. I hold my phone a lot of the time. I’ve also dropped it more times than I can count. I like that this one is washable and breathable. My last one would get hot from the heat of the phone.
Fitbit Wireless Smart Scale – definitely not a necessity. It’s pretty though. The scale links to your mobile app to help you track your progress. I normally use my favorite jeans as my scale…when they get tight, it’s time to eat air. Just kidding…time to get my ass in check.
Lululemon Power Y Tank – I have no idea why I want this, other than it’s cute and I like it! And it has good reviews too. I ALWAYS read reviews.
Nike Free Flyknit 5.0 – lightweight, flexible and breathable. And these are the only pair that are not an electric neon color. Not that I’m against crazy colored shoes, I dig them too. These are just a little more subtle. The platform sole looks like it will provide tons of comfort too.
Zella Leggings – just read the reviews. I own a pair of the live-in capri and they are fab. I’m super into the trendy mesh insets that whip around the legs. I always purchase plain boring black gym clothes – at least these have a little fun flare to them.
Once again – gotta give Old Navy props, their activewear is looking good. Check it out here. You really can’t beat the prices either.
Anyone else disappointed with the new Calia by Carrie Underwood fitness apparel?? Carrie Underwood teamed up with DICK’S Sporting Goods to create activewear designed to easily transition from your workout session to everyday life. I get that she’s Carrie Underwood and all, I tired to like it, but I didn’t find one item I really cared about too much.
If you have cute gym clothes, does it make you wan’t to workout more?
That is the question peeps!
until tomorrow –
xoxo stacyb
The Lululemon Power Y is a great tank, holds you together and a great built in bra. Also fond of Lulu’s Cool Racerback tank. GapFit and Old Navy are my fall backs – consistently good. Amen, on the Carrie Underwood line – so boring! Thanks for a perfect Wednesday morning read.
Erica – thanks for reading and your cool racerback tank recommendation 🙂
