📍Scottsdale, AZ we loved the chill laid back vibe ☀️ bay fell in love ASU 😈 gas prices + not a mask 😷 in sight after leaving the airport were both highlights. Fave Bar: Rusty Spur Saloon 🍺 Fave Food: fish tacos 🌮 Diego Pops. Scottsdale Fashion Square blew my damn mind 🛍 we ate + drank our way though Old Town Scottsdale 🤗now time to head north before we get gout 😆

5 Things: Scottsdale, Arizona |

Less than a 2 hour flight and under $200 round trip per person // We left Sacramento and headed to Phoenix, AZ on New Years day!

Scottsdale is know as the one of the World’s finest golf designations. Along with having the highest number of luxury spas in the country, Scottsdale’s growing number of upscale restaurants and nightclubs + trendy galleries+ shopping has made the city a popular vacation destination with it’s average 330 days of sunshine.

There is literally so much to do, I will highlight some of our favorite spots we tried out. We loved Scottsdale so much, that we cut our northern Arizona trip short so we could head back to the sunshine for another full day.

EAT |

Culinary Dropout | Live music and very young fun atmosphere. Bomb salads + fried chicken.

Diego Pops | Instagramers restaurant. Fun outdoor patio, walls and signs perfect for picture taking. Fish tacos + margs were BOMB!

The Drunk Munk | Tiki themed restaurant and bar at the heart of old town. Happy hour is the time to go. Sit on the patio for the ultimate people watching.

Sugar Bowl | a 1950’s Ice cream parlor/restaurant. Gives you all the old school feels and the best fountain treats!

JoJo Coffee House | Best Espresso I had all week. Super aesthetically pleasing. They also serve coffee flights – how fun!

Blanco’s Tacos and Tequila | Super laid back, fun and clean! The queso was muy bien! Spicy margaritas and burrito bowls are highly recommended.

Thirsty Lion | HUGE menu. Tons of good beer to choose from. We all LOVED our food.

SHOP |

Scottsdale Fashion Square | Never have I ever been to a mall quite like this. Bailey’s heaven, my hell. Ha! I am not a mall person at all.

Tempe MarketPlace | Much more my speed. Great outdoor, open-air style with a sprawling 1.3 million square feet of retail space. Over 100 shops + restaurants. Again, Bailey was in heaven and this time, I was not in hell. Ha!!

Old Town Scottsdale | A very diverse array of shopping. You’ll find everything from Southwestern shops, artisan boutiques and high-end retailers. Mixed with fun souvenir shops.

STAY |

The Scottsdale Plaza Resort | Our first two nights in Scottsdale we stayed in the heart of Old Town at the Marriot. Great hotel, had all the basic amenities. No complaints. The last leg of our Arizona trip, we went off the beaten path, just a little to the Scottsdale Plaza Resort and I don’t think I’d ever want to stay anyplace else in this town. It was a little less per night and had everything you could possibly want/need/desire. And it’s stunning. 5 pools. Fitness Center. Tennis Courts. Salon + Spa. 4 restaurants and a coffee shop. Convenience store. Golf Cart taxis. Beautiful grounds. I could go on and on. Stay here – and invite me, K?!?!

PLAY |

Old Town Scottsdale | Also known as Downtown. If you are looking for a great place for a night out, this is it. You will find clubs + bars + restaurants as well as art galleries, museums, and plenty of shopping. Golf cart taxis. You 100% have to stop at Rusty Spur Saloon for a cold beer + live music + a fireball snert! Porters Western Saloon was decked out for Christmas with the celling plastered with Christmas ornaments. It was my dream…lol. Great espresso martinis too!

Sprinkles ATM | We had never been to one before, so this was pretty fun! You legit pick your cupcake from an ATM, insert your card, and it delivers the cutest cupcake in a little box. Great for kids.

Arizona Canal | Very mid-century looking. Cool shops + boujee restaurants + art galleries along the waterway. We spent an evening walking up and down the cobblestone streets.

Tour ASU | Currently at the tippy top of Bailey’s college list. We walked though the campus is awe. It’s beautiful. We shopped at the student store. And downtown. We dinned. We hiked to the A. Took lots of pictures. Bay dreamed about what life would be like in Tempe. I honestly can totally picture here right here. So far, but so close. We shall see.

PACK |

Book the flight. Take the trip. YOLO!!!
