Did you happen to catch the “Katie Holmes Picks” on Old Navy in the Women’s Folkloric Fall section? Katie Holmes teamed up with Refinery29 to put her signature spin on pieces from Old Navy’s new collection. She’s got good taste!! I have to give props to Old Navy. They have stepped up their game. Their current trends are on point. I prefer to spend a little less on “trendy” items for my closet. Where I’m willing to break bread on classic pieces I will keep and wear forever. I would consider this collage to be fall trends….I’m kinda diggin them, so I wouldn’t mind if they stay awhile.
Girls Quilted Slip-On Sneakers – Bailey is a loyal Nike girl. Like Nikes and shorts ALL summer. I think they are cute too, but I also like a lower casual slip on shoe to go with her skinny jeans. I think these would be perfect.
Desert Ankle Booties – anyone else been searching for the perfect chukkas? These faux suede lace up front boots come in the perfect color and height. I actually ordered them as I was typing this post and they are now out of stock – sorry guys. I will report how they fit and feel.
Girls Poncho + Women’s Poncho – almost identical….yay! haha. I love a good warm poncho. Also one of Katie Holmes picks.
Women’s EARL GRAY Rockstar Denim + Girls Gray-Wash Super Skinny’s – gray denim is on trend and I don’t see it leaving. These jeans will go with anything. I typically don’t purchase old navy denim (they don’t usually fit us right) but, I may have to give these a shot. The Women’s denim has great reviews and for $25, why not?
Women’s Dress + Girl’s Dress – matching pintuck boho dresses. Can easily be dressed up or down with shoes and jewelry. Super attracted to the sage green and red wine colors they come in.
Women’s scarf + Girls scarf – the plaid flannel blanket scarf is everything. I died when I placed my order for the ASOS version and got an email 2 days later saying “sorry we sold out” WTH? Thank you Old Navy – your version is pretty damn close. I like the polished look of a scarf in the winter months. Even on my mini me.
Women’s Bomber + Girl’s Bomber – the bomber is bomb. Plaid wool in red and navy….I die. This is the combo of a lifetime. This has to come home to mama. And the girls sherpa style is adorable. Would be super cute paired with ankle booties and a dress. Bailey loves anything soft and fuzzy too.
