Who’s ready to make some good stories for Monday? I’m always ready for a little Friday shenanigans! Who’s with me?!?!
I woke up this morning with a little extra pep in my step. Ready to handle this day. Ready for the freakin weekend. Can I get an Amen? I got all my adulting done. Something that used to be a standard Friday tradition for me. I forgot how good it feels to leave for work Friday morning with a clean house, dishwasher empty, laundry caught up, grocery shopping done, clean car and a full tank of gas. And I went to the gym too! Can I get a whoop whoop?!?! I mean, the main reason I do all this is so I don’t have to adult allllll weekend. It works, try it!
It’s Friday so you know I’ve got 5 things on my mind…..
ONE – Scenes from Halloween 2016 // Anyone else love it when you accidentally rhyme and get all excited?!?! I totally just did that.
Pumpkin carving contest at Gram + Papa’s. Bailey carved her’s 90% on her own. I had to pull out all the guts for her so I get a little credit. My Mom makes us a bomb dinner while we sip wine and carve pumpkins with the kiddos. Chicken Tortilla Casserole is her thing. And clearly it’s ours too. I just might have to share the recipe soon.
Halloween 2016
Bailey – Dirt Bike Rider. Cost me nothing, so I shouldn’t complain. We’ve already decided on something uber cute and girly for next year….yessssss!
Me – Brown Bagin Witch. Again, yes! It’s my yearly Halloween costume. Next year I will have to step it up a bit due to my 15-year-old witch hat breaking on me:( I’m thinking a brown baggin cat? Some cute ears, eyeliner whiskers and maybe even a tail? No worries, the tall can tucked in a brown bag will still be there.
Our annual cousins + GG picture. Can you believe we pulled this off COMPLETELY unplanned? Swear! We all happened to stop by for GG’s $5/per kid at the exact same time. She told me this was the best part of her entire week:)
Our other annual tradition – Trick-Or-Treating at the Nelson’s! This time a new house and neighborhood. Look at all those cute kiddos ready to tear up the street and 100 candy bars. Thank you Tom + Robin for another fun year!!
Another Halloween has come and gone. I feel like I say this every month, but I can’t believe it’s November ALREADY! Anyway, let’s get back to Halloween. On a Monday? Really. I think all parents will agree – Monday Halloween’s should be banned indefinitely! The week was a shit show, right?
TWO + THREE – Since I didn’t share weekend notes this week, here’s how the weekend unfolded!
Friday night Pho King for the birthday girl, Sarah P! Followed by Nugget carrot cake…oh my. And too many shots! Who’s idea was it to go to the bar anyway?
If you haven’t hit up Pho King Davis, do it. You can bring your own booze too. I called to confirm and she told me to just open my bottles before I come, since they lost their corkscrew. Not even joking!
See those babes in the bottom right? We had the best time with them Friday night. I have NO idea what Jayson put in those damn shots, but it got us making the Woodland Bar rounds. Including dancing at the Fogata?!!? Good times ladies….let’s do it again!!!
Saturday was Dad’s 60th Birthday!! You guys have NO idea how long he’s been waiting for this day to come. Haha, sounds crazy right? My Dad has been bragging about the senior discounts for years. We should have taken him to Denny’s to test it out…lol.

We celebrated with my Dad’s homies at Blue Note Brewery last Saturday night. Good times. And Happy 60th Dad! We love you BIG!!!
FOUR – Let’s chat about new PJ’s for a sec. Anyone else splurge on a cozy pair this time of year? Like clockwork, I pull the trigger on a pair of J.Crew’s super overpriced cotton pajamas every single year. I don’t regret it for a minute. They are the best around! There’s NOTHING like lounging in cute ass PJ’s with a cup of coffee in hand on the weekends. Sometimes till noon! NOTHING!

I pulled the trigger on Monday to be exact. Guess what? They still haven’t shipped! Today, I went to far as to call J.Crew to inquire why the fuck I wont be enjoying these over the weekend? Pissed off is an understatement. I’ve been reassured they will arrive in time for next weekend though!!
