It’s Frriiiiidayyyy!! We made it. Longest short week everrrrr!

You guys, the worst thing happened last night.

I dropped and shattered my iPhone screen. I was unloading groceries and dropped it in my driveway. Face down. You know that feeling when you pick it up and the screen is fine and you kinda wanna do a cartwheel? Yeah, I didn’t get that warm and fuzzy feeling this time. Legit wanted to cry. It cracked so much that when I run my fingers across the screen, it feels like I could get a splinter.

It’s getting fixed now. I feel fucking naked. My phone, it has my to-do list in the notes section. I can’t text Bay. Can’t look at my MyFitnessPal to track my macros…and I really want a snack. Ha. My alarms? What if I forget to do something. No online banking. No random scrolling. No googling. No email. No Pandora. No clock. No Waze to figure out the fastest way to get someplace. So weird. So sad too. Being without my phone for 2 hours can make me feel like I cannot function. Anyway, on the bright side – it’s getting fixed. And all will be right in the world again. Maybe I should do one of those digital detox weekends? Nah, F that!

What I’m really here to share is my updated front porch. I gave it a little face lift.

Hosed her off. Pulled out some spray paint. New fresh plants + mulch. And I’m in LOVE! We live in a rental, so there is only so much I can do. I’m not trying to break the bank. This was a VERY budget friendly patio refresh. Because, let’s keep it real, I’d rather buy a new pair of Madewell jeans with that money…HA!

This summer weather makes me want to squeal. I get so frickin happy when it’s officially nice enough to open the windows + sliders. I just want to sit on the patio and sip my coffee….or wine. And the sunlight last wayyy past dinnertime. Ahhh…isn’t it fantastic?

Hi friends! Short weeks are a killer. They sounds all fine and dandy. Then you realize you have to cram 5 days of work and all the things into 4 days. Not that cool. But, today is Thursday and I’ve got a bottle on wine waiting for me at home. So, I’ve got that going for me!

Bay and I got to school early this morning to put up all her election posters. She’s running for Treasurer at her Middle School. I never had the balls to run for anything in school, so I’m crazy proud of her. We made 4 posters last night and they turned out so cute.

As of now, I believe she’s running against herself., so the odds are looking good. Real good! Ha!

Coming atcha today with a quick + easy dinner. Not only it is healthy AF….the best part – it’s pretty AF too. Ha! This recipe is a great one for a week night or when you have company over. It’s a crowd pleaser!

I’m currently counting macros and this recipe is VERY macro friendly! No matter what diet or not diet your on, this recipe is so good. It’s fresh and eating the colors of the rainbow always makes me feel extra healthy. Anyone else?

This recipe is versatile too. You can swap out any veggies you like. Or your fam-bams faves. It cooks up quick and the leftovers are bomb. You know when the meal is almost better the second day kinda bomb? Like spaghetti. So much better day #2.

I got 99 problems, but shoes aint one! In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve added a couple new pairs of kicks to the family. First, I pulled the trigger on the Free People Mont Blanc Sandals. Which I scored for $50. It was one of those good ol meant to be moments. They were the ONLY pair left. And just so happened to be in my exact size. Meant to be, right? Then last week the Strappy Clog Sandal that I’ve had my eye on, went on maj sale. I’m talking more than 60% off. It was love at first sight.

To be 100% honest though, shoes are not my weakness. I’m rather picky when it comes to shoes.

1 – because they are typically an investment

2 – when I find a pair of shoes I LOVE, it’s all I will wear

3 – they have to be comfy AF…I don’t mess around

Now fun, cute tops + jeans…..they are for sure the thing I can’t say no to.

With these two new recent additions, I’d say my shoe game is on point for the summer. I will run these puppies into the ground.

And just to set the record straight……having my photo taken while in public will NEVER, ever not feel super awkward. Like, what did I have my eye on in that bush? And this one here. Doesn’t it look like I’m about to knock someone out with my fist?

Mine will forever be Italy. I love experiencing new places. Near or far! Taking photos. Walking around. Currently suffering from Major Wanderlust, can you tell? But, sitting at this beach did the trick this weekend.

This week on xoxostacyb: You got my {Italian Salad} yesterday, and I truly apologize that it posted without the actual recipe yesterday. On my end it looked as though everything was just so, but I used a “page break” instead of a “read more” option. Which cut off the ingredients + directions. It’s corrected now! Other posts coming this week….my front porch refresh. Some fun dresses that wont break the bank. And maybe even a salmon recipe.

Happy Memorial Day friends. I pulled out all our red, white & blue and our house is festive AF. The color combo makes me insanely happy. Just screams summertime!

We got back from Tahoe last night. It went from sunny (chilly) and beautiful to full on snowing. Crazy weather considering we’re normally sitting on the beach Memorial Day weekend.

Currently writing this post while sitting at the pool with a skinny, skinny marg in my cup and a vodka otter pop. Living it up and feeling like a total rebel not being at work today.

We’re thinking BBQ hot dogs for dinner. I LOVE a good barbecue. With ALL the toppings. And I’m making my Italian Salad to go with our dogs.

Since making this salad for the first time for GG’s 94th Birthday, I’ve made it 2 more times. It’s so good and even my picky tween digs it.

I had something completely different planned for today, but when I woke up and saw everything that was already SOLD OUT on the NSALE….change of plans. You gotta jump on it Mama’s. If there is something you want. Get it. Get it quick. Remember – Nordstrom has the very best customer service. If you get something and change your mind. Or just don’t like it as much as you initially thought, return it! It’s FREE! Just use the return UPS slip in your package and you’re good to go. But, I promise you one thing…..

ALL the good shit will be gone in the blink of the eye.

Hi friends! Today is all about our favorite store, Target! Target Tuesday, that is. I went in for 2 things last week. Just two things….and walked out with this dress and sign. Damn you, Target! I’m working on our tiny little entryway, stay tuned. And this dress, I’ll have it up sometime this week. Along with fun summer dresses on the cheap!

The Hearth & Hand with Magnolia section just got a shit-ton of new arrivals. Scroll down for my faves. Since it’s Memorial Day weekend, I’ve linked some cute tanks, tabletop items and door mats. Which would all work for 4th of July too! We’ll be in Lake Tahoe, so tanks will not be needed this year…lol. Speaking of tank tops, Target has a select section of tanks + tee’s that are currently marked down to $5! Like this one I’m wearing. And remember that leopard tank from last month? It’s only $5 too! Some basic crew neck tee’s and v-necks are also included! It’s a great time to pick up some basics for the warmer months…if we ever get them!

Hello Monday. Why did you have to arrive so quickly? Had a little too much Sunday Funday so I’m running in slow mo today. But, it was 100% worth it. Today marks day one of the I Heart Macros – Love your body challenge. I got up to “dude where’s my car” ha! So, I improvised and did the at home workout. Which totally kicked my ass. Happy Friday, Friends! I can’t stop saying “Happy Friday” I said it to every.single.person this morning at Nugget. At 6am. Even to the cashier at the gas station. To my co-workers right as I walked into the office. When I answer the phone. Ha! Guess I’m really ready and in need of the freakin weekend! I stayed up till past midnight cleaning the shit out of my house. You’d think I’d be exhausted? Nope, just happy it’s Friday apparently. You guys, today in my Great Grandma (we call her GG) 94th birthday. Ninety Four years young. I’m still in shock at what a complete bad ass she is.

Weekend plans: Whoop it up with GG tonight. Dutch + pedi + Ulta (I despise Ulta, just FYI) date with Bay tomorrow morning. Completing + turning in Bay’s 4-H record book. It’s godawful…..no joke. Wine sippin with some of my fave gals. Sleeping in. Extra coffee in my jams. Cooking. Meal prepping. Just a few other things I’m super looking forward to.
