Walnut honey oatmeal balls! Easiest recipe I’ve ever posted. No bake. Six ingredients. 10 minutes to prep!

Shit you not – these taste just like oatmeal cookie dough. I got your attention now, didn’t I? Ha!

These sweet + salty little treats are perfect for a grab and go snack.

Mini snacks are kinda my jam. Makes me feel like I’m not being thattttt bad. Know what I mean?

Walnut honey oatmeal balls are the perfect size to nip that sweet tooth in the butt!

Hey there friends. How was your weekend? I cannot even tell you how relaxing and crazy chill my weekend was. I did everything I had hoped + planned to do. Like sleeping in (till 7am, but hey I’ll take it) Lounging on the couch with a cup of coffee. Watched all my shows that have been piling up on the DVR. Coffee + pool dates. Planted flowers. I was even able to sneak in a workout, which I never have time for on the weekends. Woke up ready for anything + everything this week is going to throw at me..HA!

Intentions for the week:

~~Decide on a new skincare + buy that shit~~ – (went with Tula…will report back)
~~Trip to the library for new reads~~ – (Bay got 8 books. Wonder if she’ll even open one)
Mani + pedi night with Bay – trying to do the new no polish trend?
~~Get 15,000 steps per day~~ – (straight up KILLED it)
~~Work on 2 new recipes~~ – (made two new zucchini recipes + cookies…stay tuned)
~~Clean up the back patio…AGAIN!~~ – (so much work and my patio is tiny lol)
~~Give my plants extra love + miracle grow~~ – (they already look wayyy better)
~~Lay off the La Croix~~ – (haven’t had one. Yet!)
~~Apply hair mask~~ – (found a L’Oreal mask that I dig)
~~Prep for cooking + serving at 4th & Hope~~ – (making chicken tortilla casserole)
~~Visit the Mezger Family Zinnia Patch~~ – (decorating the tables at 4th & Hope)
~~Check out J.Crew Factory new arrivals~~ – (so many good ones. Try on sesh this week)

Happy Friday! We did it! We made it through another week! Summer is hard guys. Kids get bored. I don’t really feel like entertaining. And to top it off, its hot as balls and I don’t see an end in sight. Speaking of balls…..

ONE – In My Feelings Challenge //

It’s the Drake – In My Feelings dance that has basically gone viral. Go to Instagram and type in #inmyfeelingschallenge there are over 315K videos of peeps doing the famous moving car dance. Bay + I watched them the other night crying we were laughing so hard. Then she convinced me to let her do it. Of course I said yes! Then we proceeded to drive up and down our street dying laughing even more. God, I love her! ♥

{things I’m afraid to tell you}

Every now and again I get a message that starts with something like: “your life is so perfect” or “how do you have your shit together all.the.time”

Ha! Let’s be real…..I DON’T!!!

I mean, who does?

I’m not living in a life full of unicorns and rainbows. I’m a mother, a single mother at that. Daughter. Sister. Friend. Girlfriend. Full-time worker. Blogger. Volunteer.

Life is hard.

I like to think I’m pretty much an open book. Although, I tend to share things I enjoy. Things I dig. Pretty things. Who wants to post or chat about their flaws on social media? The internet judgement committee is already working overtime, I personally don’t want to give them any fuel.

The idea of this post is to step out of my comfort zone and perfectly curated + filtered instagram photos and tell you some shit that I don’t post about!

Today I’m excited to share some of my favorite summer statement earrings with you! Contrary to my minimal jewelry beliefs, I dig a good statement earring. Earrings are an easy and fun way to jazz up any outfit! Even a basic tee and shorts can be brought to life by adding a fun pair of earrings! I am very particular when it comes to earrings though. They must be lightweight, but they can’t feel super cheap either. The heaviness + pulling drives me bananas. And my rule of thumb, if I’m rocking a statement earrings all the jewels must be kept to a bare minimum. This is also a great way to incorporate the good ol’ {third piece rule}we chatted about last week.

But first let’s chat about what I’ve got on in this picture. The earrings, obvi. The rest is Madewell + both the jeans & tank are on sale! This doesn’t happen everyday, so let me give you all the details!

Madewell Top // You guys, it’s on sale. $39! I gotta call and get a price adjustment 🙂 The color is so rich + gorgeous. LOVE the high neckline. With a front tuck, you’re good to go!

9-Inch Seamed High Waist Step Hem Skinny Jeans // If I told you I grabbed these $135 Madewell jeans for $34, would you believe me? Nordstom price-matches! You just have to call or pull up the on-line live chat. Madewell had them marked down, but didn’t have my size. Lucky for me, Nordy’s did. They gave me the Madewell price plus an additional 20% on top of that. So, about the jeans. Let me tell you all the reasons I’m obsessed: Cropped step hem for an edgy DIY look. They fit like a fucking glove, just how I like it! Madewell features super sleek “magic pockets” basically they are deep + sewn all the way around. Meaning you can’t pull them inside out. This creates that hold-you-in feeling. Ya know what I mean? If you’re in the market for a funky, not your everyday pair of denim – this is your ticket sister!

Today we’re talking about one of my favorite subjects. Wine!

Wine flies when you’re having fun!

Ain’t that the truth. 4 bottles between 5 girls….GONE! Ha!

It was all in the name of the Rosé tasting game. So, it was for a good cause.

Remember the time I convinced some girlfriends to do the {3 glasses} wine game?

I clearly have a thing for wine games 🙂

I hosted a Rosé tasting + OC Housewives premier at my house the other night. I think it’s safe to say the two go hand in hand. Wine + Bravo! Right?

I get asked ALL THE TIME “what’s your favorite rosé. One you can grab at Target when you’re gathering all the other shit you really don’t need. Except the rosé. You actually NEED the rosé.

So I put my homegirls to the test. I bought 4 bottles of rosé from Target. Covered them in tissue paper. And handed out score cards.

It’s Monday peeps! Time to get back into the weekday groove. We’ve spent the last 4 weekends on the go out-of-town. Which we have throughly enjoyed the hell out of, but it sure makes Monday a little tougher. Raise your hand if you’re ready to do this!!!

Intentions for the week:

Dry brush consistently for results – (I’m officially hooked!)
~~Continue doing BBG 3 days a week~~ – (Loving this do it when you want workout program!!! Even got Sarah P lovin it too!)
~~Create a new morning routine….I’m over mine~~ – (Think I got my shit figured out…..wanna hear more about it?)
~~Find something cute to wear for~~ ~~Roots to Wine Twilight Picnic~~ – (I found a dress, this one!)
~~Make a new recipe for the blog. What sounds good peeps?~~ – (Made a savory galette. Caprese stuffed avocados. Walnut balls. New chocolate chip cookies)
~~Pick up a trifling jacket for Bay’s 1st English show~~ – (holy shit, English riding is expensive, but we found a winner)
~~Remake + shoot my~~ ~~pesto recipe~~ – (updating today)
~~Finish my 8 things I’m afraid to tell you post~~ – (My highest ratings since the first time I posted my weight. You guys really like my dirty little secrets…lol)
~~Bay requested {mozzarella stuffed meatballs} so we’re gonna go ahead and do it~~ – (still her fave)
~~Pool time~~ – (Nothing like laying by a pool)
~~Stay focused AF!~~ – (√)

Last weeks Intentions: {weekend notes}

Highlights from the weekend…….

We spent the last few days in Ukiah for Cory’s family reunion.

First stop was fishing, always fishing. This time in the same spot Cory grew up fishing.

Even Bay got in on the fun. I was in white jeans + sandals…not really fishing attire.

Cory’s family rented the Yokayo Ranch. This was our home for the weekend. It housed, very comfortably about 40 people.

I can’t tell you how perfect this space was. So lush + green.

Yokayo Ranch legit had it all. The Main House (where we stayed) with 3 bedrooms. A two-story bunk house. 2 cabanas with kitchenette and all. All the amenities you could possibly want + need.

The houses are surrounded by lawn + covered patios + pool + hot tub + outdoor kitchen + big screen TV + fire pit + lawn games. You name it. Makes hosting for a large group such a breeze.

Considering the amount of people, it never felt crowded.

I’d say Yokayo Ranch definitely exceed everyone’s expectations.

You’re gonna have that song stuck in your head all day too. You’re welcome 🙂 Hope you all had a groovy week! This week I hosted a rosé tasting + OC Housewives premier night. Can’t wait to share all the deets! Bay completed Algebra Academy today. We planned out the upcoming Omega Nu calendar. Website hopefully coming soon! I started BBG and frickin love it. Watched Mama Mia with my favorite ladies. It was a very productive week, I might add!

And today we’re off to Ukiah today for another fun weekend.

Let’s chat about 5 things on my mind…….

ONE – Mama Mia // Here we go again! My DM’s blew up asking how the movie was last night. So, So good! So good, that Bay couldn’t sit in her seat. She’s very into musicals at the moment! But, this one especially. Bay + my Mom have been watching the first Mama Mia on repeat and pretty much know every.single.song. My Mom was a little disappointing that Meryl Streep wasn’t a main character. Not to spoil it, but she was literally in the last 5 minutes of the movie and that’s it. Other than that, no complaints! And the big screen at the State Theater is wow! It was my first time watching a movie on the big screen. It was so comfy I was worried I’d fall asleep…HA! It has happened before!

TWO – Anniversary Sale // Anyone else beyond sick of hearing about the #nsale? This is normally right up my alley, but I’m legit so over hearing about it. Today it opens to the public so be prepared for Nordstrom overload. Not to mention, I’ve been waiting very patiently for my #nsale items to arrive. Still NOTHING! I placed my order Thursday, July 12th…the day the pre-sale stared. As of today, my items show they will arrive by July 24th! Ridiculous. I read that since the PRIME sale + Nordy’s both took place at the same time, UPS is on major overload. Like Christmas in July status. So, if you too haven’t received your order yet, I’m right there with ya!
