According to the Urban Dictionary I give the cold shoulder like a mother f’er. I’m kind of the queen of the cold shoulder. But this time we’re not talking about that kind of cold shoulder.

Weekend notes a day late! Sorry peeps, I was too busy scoring Cyber Monday deals and catching up on everything. You guys, FOUR days off work was beyond amazeballs. Hence the image above. Crazy Thankful! Not only was I off work for FOUR days, but so many things I’m crazy thankful for.
Crazy Thankful for girlfriends that invite you for a Wednesday night “drink” and you stay through dinner.
Laugh. Order too many bottles or wine. And laugh a little more.

Crazy Thankful for my Mom + Bay they are always up for my crazy ideas. Like our Running of the Turkeys tradition. In the freeezzzing cold. Early in the morning. We did it all for the fitbit steps 🙂
Crazy Thankful for the amazing Thanksgiving feast my Uncle Sal + Aunt Penny hosted. Sitting around the table with family taking turns saying out Peeks + Pits ♥
Clearly I like stuffing everything…lol. I stuffed twice baked sweet potatoes (recipe coming soon) + stuffed mushrooms. So damn good!!

Annndddd, I finally broke down and bought the booties of my dreams!! Remember when I blogged {that bootie though} back in September? I tried a few pairs and returned them all. Monday morning I said fuck it, and bought my #1 top pick, the Free People ankle boot.

Blueberry breakfast heaven! Promise!
My girl is a Starbucks blueberry muffin lover. She’d eat one every single day and never complain. I have to admit, they are pretty delicious. Well, this is just that….it’s like a giant Starbucks blueberry muffin cake.
Last weekend Bailey had her bestie Ruby for a sleepover. So, I woke up extra early Sunday morning to whip this up for them. I figured it was only appropriate to treat the girls to a proper breakfast, right?
Lets be real, I was craving carbs and sugar. I made it for myself! Damn it, what is wrong with me?!?! Just give me the carbs and nobody gets hurt…lol.
Anyway, I knew Bay would wake up to the smell of blueberry cake in the oven. Annnnddd, I was right!
Is it just me, or does buttermilk turn baked goods into gold?!?!

Love + good vibes + happiness! That sums up the weekend perfectly! I’m so blessed with an amazing family and a bad ass tribe of friends! We decked the halls. If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, then you already got a taste of it. We just went for it. The next couple of weekends are pretty busy so it was now or never!
Dinner with my favorites at Morgan’s On Main. You guys, I ordered the special. Scallops over pasta with a fried egg. Heaven! I hope they put it on their menu, that way I can go back weekly for it.
I can’t remember what I did to her, but we couldn’t stop laughing ♥
Saturday morning we went Christmas Tree hunting. We checked out Little Bear Tree Farm located about an hour and 20 minutes up Hwy 80 in the little town of Alta, CA. Never heard of it till my girlfriend, Alex told me about it. We normally do Apple Hill, but let’s be honest…it’s a total shit show. Wayyy too many peeps. Wayyy too much traffic. We typically cut our tree and leave ASAP! This was a lot different.
As you pull up to the Tree Farm, which is a ways off the freeway, you’ll be greeted by the friendliest people I think I’ve ever met.
You pick out your saw and hop in the back of a Jeep. They take you up the hill toward the 50 acres of Christmas Trees. Silver Tip + White Fur as far as you can see.
They literally drop you off in the woods and drive away…lol. Remember, we are a week earlier than most Christmas Tree hunters. So there wasn’t even a sign of life for about a good hour.
I forgot what a picky tree picker I am every year, till we try to find one…lol. We walked a couple of miles. And it took over an hour.
We found these beauties on the side of a hill. You can kind of see to the left of Bailey. It drops off, very steeply. Of course that’s where “the” tree was. I almost lost my shit sawing these things down. Ours toppeled over me and all the way down the hill. I had to drag that son of a bitch all the way back up to the top. I told my Mom at one point that I hadn’t worked that hard since child-birth. For reals though!

Friday 5 is live…..
ONE – Since I’m not hosting Thanksgiving this year, I got all Christmasy and shit. Holiday whore is in full swing. My lights are up on the house. With a help from Bay and my Mom. Taking turns holding the ladder so I didn’t die and handing me rain gutter clips. We are cutting out tree down this weekend! Yesss, you heard me right. Long story, but if it doesn’t happen this weekend, then it wont happen at all. Which clearly isn’t an option! Saturday afternoon our halls will be officially decked the fuck out! I can’t wait! Since we are in the Christmas spitit, Bailey made her Christmas list. Including a column for “what store” to help a mama out. She totally get’s it from me. I just email my Mom links with sizes and colors attached…lol.
TWO – Mannequin Challenge // Anyone else totally obsessed with the new craze? I’m dying to do one. I’m thinking once Alex has the baby. The final Kaia Fit Woodland CORE session of the year! I made it through a year of Kaia. Well, almost! I’m super pumped! Not only because I know BRIK will hit at the new year, but because I have a little added incentive. A vacation in less than a month. A beach vacation!
If you don’t somewhat agree, then we can’t be friends!! This is one of the only reasons I check my emails after 5pm and the weekends. No joke! “You’re Order Has Shipped” in the subject line makes my heart go pitter patter ♥
